I would like to express my sadness at the destruction caused by the massive earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. Condolences to people of Japan, who lost countless lives, suffered devastation and going through inconceivable tragedy. The anguish and desolation that they are going through now is unimaginable. Hope that rescue and help efforts reach every person in need and no more lives are lost. As a nation that has gone through many hardships in the past, Japanese have shown the world time and again that they are a land driven by hope, resilience, and fortitude.
May that spirit and strength prevail.
