No matter where you are, we are KHMER and we do love each other. On be half on one Khmer, I would like to mourn and wish all of the death (about 379 people. Update: death toll hit 456 on 24th of November) rest in peace. Personally I also worshiped the spirit of the death with different kind of fruits.
If you are going around in Phnom Penh, you will see people worship the spirit everywhere along the road. And today, the 25th of November, the government decided to choose this day as the Mourning day that every Cambodian have to show respect to the death. No loud music, night club, KTV and other entertainment places also close.
This shocking event should not have happened. Only if the police and the fire fighter came on time (It took them like 4 hours for the rescues to come) or have enough equipment (all they could do is to use their hand to pull, no oxygen for the victims, they even died drowning after jumping from the bridge to the river), there should not have too many dead like this.
